Do you need a biomass fuel?

We offer collection of loose miscanthus chip for the use of fuel for biomass. At the farm we burn miscanthus as fuel to heat our houses and produce hot water. It is a very effective fuel which creates a sustainable heat source.

Miscanthus has a calorific value of 3.6–4kWh per kg and a weight of 70-90kg per M³. In order for Miscanthus to be uses as a fuel it has to be stored in dry storage with good ventilation and needs a moisture content of below 20%.

Most biomass boilers will be compatible to burn chipped miscanthus.
